1999 Expedition Logs 1998 Equipment List A typical draining expedition involves bringing a bunch of people and equipment down into a storm drain. For hours we walk, boat, swim, crawl, and climb through networks of tunnels. Afterwards, we wash our hands and go out to eat. Of course, very few expeditions are typical; we have canoed down underground creeks, climbed out of manholes in distant neighborhoods, walked under waterfalls, discovered connections into abandoned factories, slid down waterslides, built ladders up vertical shafts, and run into a small assortment of mammals and reptiles. This website contains descriptions of our subterranean expeditions, previously posted on the "Sewering" website. The 1997 expedition logs have been removed, but they may be restored later (pending some serious editing). |
